K.Kay has been a creative force since the mid 1980s. She is the second generation artist, graphic design, and ceramicists. Her maternal grand-mother was the artist / graphic designer and paternal grand-mother owned a ceramic shop for over twenty years. K. Kay is my (Kelley Kay Badgerow) artistic / creative signature "pen name" since the mid 1990's.

My home and storage area is heated in the winter by a wood furnace, this is mentioned for those with smell sensitivities. Hand-painted none glazed items are sealed with a none odorless clear coat, this is mentioned for those for those with smell sensitivities.

Ceramic, mugs: The Dog Handle Mugs were developed in early 2015 and test marketed in 2015-2016. These are 100% K.Kay created and she uses the ceramic reproduction method to offer multiples, like a ceramic shop. She even creates the reproduction casting molds. One to three new breeds are introduced each year. Those breeds that lack sales after 2 years are discontinued and their molds destroyed to make room for the new. She can manipulate some body features, such as ears, to accommodate mix breeds on request. If there is no current body type for your pure or mix breed let KKay know, she will put the breed on her "to do" list.

Ceramic, Clock 1: The dog lover clocks were developed in mid 2020, with the oval shaped table tops supplied by a bisque maker. These portray a breed in a friendly happy "looking up" pose or the "family portrait". Both scenes usually portray more then one color of the breed. These can be custom painted, portrait style, by request.

Ceramic, Clock 1: The taller and more square table top clock is hand-poured by K.Kay from a reproduction mold she has acquired by a mold company. These are hand-painted specific to a breed and it's purpose. Typically filling the lower part of the clock with one to two dogs. She also developed away to have the clock tell time in the dark using glow-in-the-dark paint. The landscape accompanies such effect by using sunrise or sunset scene. These can be custom painted, portrait style, by request.

Ceramic, Dog Figurines: Most of the breeds are done through the reproduction ceramic process and created from another mold maker. They are hand-poured, fired, and hand-painted here at KKay's. They are limited due to the work load of other products she offers. She will paint a figurine to look like a customer's dog by request.

Ceramic, Scottish Santa: These Santas painted by KKay have been widely sold since about 2007. She had not offered them for several years due to lack of supplier and the mold being discontinued to purchase. They are back and with such, KKay will be offering them again. She makes them available by the 1st of October each year. They are limited due to the work load of other products she offers.

Art Line(s):
Since KKay is a traditional artist, she also has various series type artwork. This artwork is transposed via heat transfer processes by select companies and dropped shipped to the customer. This saves the customer money. Due to covid in 2020 and unknowing how these companies are operating under restrictions, KKay has temporarily discounted offering them in her store.
